My scholarly activity has been primarily focused on the following areas: (1) college student involvement outcomes; (2) diversity in higher education administration; (3) Latina/o/x issues in higher education; and (4) online teaching and learning. My current research activities include exploring the Latinx college student involvement experience in ethnic/cultural organizations at emergent Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). This research also incorporates my continuing work on the educational history of Mexican Americans in Texas.
